About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to lead the design and development of a next-generation cash management and payment hub platform for a leading organization in the wealth management industry.
The role requires strong technical and architectural expertise with experience designing scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance payment platforms. Experience with PortX, Thought Machine, or similar integration technologies is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design an enterprise-grade Payment Hub platform supporting complex cash management workflows and integrations with banking and fintech systems.
• Leverage PortX, Thought Machine, and other middleware and integration technologies to enable API-based integrations across financial systems.
• Drive end-to-end technical architecture, including microservices, API architecture, event-driven processing, and cloud deployment patterns.
• Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable architecture solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Establish and maintain architecture standards, security models, design principles, and performance benchmarks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends across payments, fintech, banking, and wealth management.
• Support modernization initiatives and continuous improvement of the payment platform architecture.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, availability, security, performance, and resiliency.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, software engineering, or application development.
• Experience in financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or related technology environments.
• Proven experience architecting and implementing payment platforms, payment hubs, cash management systems, or related financial platforms.
• Hands-on experience with PortX, Thought Machine, or comparable integration technologies such as MuleSoft, Apigee, or WSO2.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, payment rails, settlement, reconciliation, and treasury systems.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, API-first design, and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Proficiency with one or more backend technologies such as .NET, Java, Scala, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
• Experience with event-streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, high availability, and resiliency principles for financial systems.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with real-time payment systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 and/or SWIFT messaging standards.
• Experience leading application modernization or cloud transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with API governance frameworks.
• Experience designing highly available, enterprise-scale financial technology platforms.
