Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Solution Architect to support a major enterprise initiative focused on
Identity and Access Management, Cyber Resilience, and Disaster Recovery. This is a highly visible consulting opportunity requiring an accomplished technical professional who can operate independently, provide architectural leadership, and coordinate complex initiatives across multiple technology and cybersecurity teams.
The role is approximately equal parts
solution architecture and technical project leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong
AWS and IAM expertise, along with the ability to translate architectural strategy into requirements, decisions, delivery plans, and actionable work for implementation teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead solution architecture activities supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management initiatives
- Evaluate AWS architecture patterns, technical constraints, dependencies, and implementation considerations
- Assess current-state identity processes and develop future-state architecture requirements
- Define authentication, authorization, role design, access governance, and application integration requirements
- Develop architecture options, recommendations, decision points, and implementation guidance
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to review proposed security controls and facilitate required approvals
- Coordinate technical requirements and dependencies across application, infrastructure, security, and engineering teams
- Facilitate discovery, architecture, design, and stakeholder alignment sessions
- Translate approved architectural direction into backlog items, work plans, and implementation-ready requirements
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, decision logs, technical recommendations, and supporting artifacts
- Manage delivery plans, project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and roadmap activities
- Provide clear, executive-ready updates regarding progress, risks, decisions, and dependencies
- Lead through influence across multiple teams and stakeholders without direct authority
Required Qualifications- Strong professional experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Cloud Architecture
- Advanced experience designing and evaluating solutions within AWS environments
- Strong Identity and Access Management, IAM experience
- Hands-on knowledge of authentication, authorization, access governance, role design, and identity integration patterns
- Experience with enterprise identity platforms such as Okta or comparable IAM technologies
- Demonstrated ability to define and document complex technical and functional requirements
- Experience developing architecture recommendations and presenting technical options to stakeholders
- Strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity controls, governance, and architecture review processes
- Proven project management capabilities, including planning, dependency management, risk and issue tracking, status reporting, and roadmap development
- Ability to translate architecture into actionable requirements and implementation plans
- Strong technical documentation and presentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication capabilities
Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will be a seasoned, self-directed architect who can move comfortably between
technical architecture, cybersecurity, IAM, and project delivery. You should be comfortable entering an ambiguous enterprise environment, establishing structure, identifying dependencies, driving decisions, and keeping multiple technical teams aligned.
Experience working in
consulting or staff-augmentation environments is highly desirable, particularly where success requires autonomy, professional client interaction, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
