Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to supervise solid waste and recycling collection programs and work crews.
Organize and coordinate special arrangements and logistics for environmental projects.
This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through daily
communication and periodic meetings.
Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions;
gives advice and direction as needed.
garbage, tree limbs, road and alley debris, street sweeping, and other refuse for delivery to transfer
station and landfill.
evaluates and recommends repair or purchase of equipment.
operations, compiles data, prepares reports, and completes special projects.
business officials, assists in resolving citizen problems and complaints, recommends corrective
action, and issues warnings or violation notices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
