Description
Enphase Energy is a global energy technology company and a leading provider of solar, battery, and electric vehicle charging products. Founded in 2006, our innovative microinverter technology revolutionized solar power, making it a safer, more reliable, and scalable energy source. Today, the Enphase Energy System enables users to make, use, save, and sell their own power. Enphase is also one of the most successful and innovative clean energy companies in the world, with more than 80 million products shipped across 160 countries.
Join our dynamic teams designing and developing next-gen energy technologies and help drive a sustainable future!
About the role
This position leads product management for Enphase's Solid-State Transformer (SST) platform - a new category of grid-scale power conversion product built around a modular, GaN-based power architecture that scales from a single power module to multi-MW skids for AI data center and other high-density grid-connected applications. This role owns the product strategy, business case, and customer/market engagement for SST as it moves from architecture definition through certification and initial deployment, working in close partnership with engineering, program management, and executive leadership to define what Enphase builds and why.
What you will do
Own the SST product strategy and roadmap, translating market and customer requirements into a coherent product definition across power, control, communications, and serviceability.
Lead voice of customer and partner efforts, initially focusing on hyperscaler/datacenter RFQ processes and strategic partnerships (e.g., channel and technology partnerships with established power equipment providers). Then, eventually branching into other applications of SST, including DC fast charging, solar, battery energy storage, and other utility-oriented applications.
Use the voice of customer information to synthesize requirements, and work with the sales and marketing leaders to define pricing and go-to-market positioning.
Define and prioritize product requirements for the modular power module and skid-level system, balancing power density, cost, manufacturability, serviceability, and certification constraints.
Partner with engineering leadership to align product requirements with system architecture decisions (e.g., grid-forming/grid-following control strategy, MV interconnection approach, module interchangeability across skid configurations).
Own the business case for SST products, including build-cost tracking, margin targets, and total-cost-of-ownership positioning against alternative power conversion architectures.
Drive the certification and standards roadmap in partnership with compliance and systems engineering - maintaining product-level line of sight into UL 347A, UL 2877, IEC 62477-2, UL 1741, and relevant IEEE standards and requirements and their impact on product scope and timeline.
Build and manage the SST product launch plan across DVT, factory test, field trials, and general availability, coordinating cross-functionally with program management, manufacturing, and quality.
Manage and mentor a small team of product managers as the SST product line scales; contribute to hiring and org design decisions.
Report on product strategy, business case, and program status to executive leadership.
