EducationHigh school or equivalentSoldering: 3 years (Preferred)IPC-A-610, and IPC-J-STD-001, Class 3Completion of US Navy or US Air Force electronics technician training is a plus.
POSITION PURPOSE:The essential duties for the Solder Technician role are to perform tasks associated with soldering uses heated metal to join the cable to the connector, and the manufacturing of cable assemblies to assembly procedures and product specifications which include:SolderingCrimpingWire prep (cutting and stripping)PottingMeet production and quality standards for accuracy.Commitment to Safety and following established workplace procedures.Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent interpersonal or “people” skills to work in a team environment.Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.Ability to prioritize.Professional appearance and presence3-5 years’ experience with cable assembly, soldering, or related tasks Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environmentAble to read and interpret schematics, diagrams and wiring lists, technical manuals and related information.Familiarization with IPC-A-610, and IPC-J-STD-001, Class 3quality standards. Certification is preferred.Ability to engage in continuous and/or repetitive physical activity.Ability to lift up to 35-pounds on occasion.
