Job Summary: The Through-Hole Soldering Technician is responsible for assembling electronic components using a soldering iron. This position is suited for candidates with soldering experience who are looking to grow their skills in a manufacturing environment.
Hours 7am-3:30pm with overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual soldering of through-hole components using a soldering iron
- Insert and secure components into PCBs according to assembly instructions
- Follow schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions
- Inspect solder joints for quality, identifying common defects such as cold joints or bridging
- Rework or touch up solder joints as needed
- Maintain soldering tools and ensure proper temperature and tip condition
- Follow ESD and safety procedures at all times
- Keep work area clean and organized
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic hands-on experience with soldering (through-hole or similar)
- Ability to use a soldering iron safely and effectively
- Understanding of basic soldering concepts (heat control, proper joints, etc.)
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
