Solder Technician

Through-Hole Soldering Technician

The Through-Hole Soldering Technician is responsible for assembling electronic components using a soldering iron. This position is suited for candidates with soldering experience who are looking to grow their skills in a manufacturing environment. Hours 7am-3:30pm with overtime as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual soldering of through-hole components using a soldering iron
• Insert and secure components into PCBs according to assembly instructions
• Follow schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions
• Inspect solder joints for quality, identifying common defects such as cold joints or bridging
• Rework or touch up solder joints as needed
• Maintain soldering tools and ensure proper temperature and tip condition
• Follow ESD and safety procedures at all times
• Keep work area clean and organized

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Basic hands-on experience with soldering (through-hole or similar)
• Ability to use a soldering iron safely and effectively
• Understanding of basic soldering concepts (heat control, proper joints, etc.)
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
