Soil Lab Extraction Technicians (Seasonal)

Our laboratory in Ames, Iowa is hiring for several skilled seasonal positions to support increased demand during the upcoming fall season. Positions start immediately, with training provided , and will continue until December 2026. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a lab setting while contributing to important environmental work.

What you'll be doing:

As a Soil Lab Technologist, you'll prepare soil samples for extraction and analysis, carry out routine extraction and testing procedures, and use laboratory instruments to assess soil properties. You'll document and report results accurately, follow established methods, and support the lab's quality control standards.

What you'll need:

• Post-secondary education in a related field such as chemistry, biology, or soil science
• Working knowledge of analytical methodology, instruments, and general laboratory procedures
• Experience with with soild extractions Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instrumentation would be an asset
• A flexible schedule and the ability to work a variety of shifts including, days, evening and/or occasional weekends.
