This position will design and implement software solutions and assure current and new technologies are effectively integrated to fulfill the business needs.
Provide a list of the day to day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate:
This individual will be expected to participate in the following activities:
- Implement Integrated Justice (IJ) Portal standards related to application technologies, including UI standards, development methodology, and coding and style guides.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with technical infrastructure teams to resolve problems and implement solutions to technical issues impacting application performance.
- Work with the Infrastructure teams to execute activities such as performance test planning and execution failure failover planning and execution, endurance testing and deployment planning and testing.
- Provide the analysis, design, and code reviews for enterprise applications using JAVA/JEE, JSF, XML, XSLT and for the IBM Portal/WebSphere Application development software.
- Perform oversight of development activities which may include data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database models, testing and implementation.
- Prepare, and/or review technical documentation such as designs, schemas, etc., as appropriate.
- Provide technical guidance to teams of developers.

Position Requested Qualifications (Per Attachment 7, Section 1.2.5)
- 84 months of experience designing and developing applications that were implemented with JAVA Development Kit (JDK 8 or higher).
- 84 months of experience writing and maintaining code using Java Persistence API (JPA), Hibernate, and Oracle 10g or higher databases including Development, DML, DDL, and DCL with PL/SQL.
- 84 months experience leading agile or iterative development teams which involve planning, designing, implementing and integrating complex Java-based systems
- 72 months of experience designing and developing applications in PrimeFaces/JSF, Angular or the React framework.
- 72 months of experience in identifying and resolving application performance issues.
- 72 months of experience designing, developing, and deploying applications in IBM WebSphere Application Servers 6.0 or higher, Tomcat server 9 or higher, or JBoss Application Server 7 or higher.

What type and/or manner, of knowledge transfer is requested during the Engagement?
Consultant will work with State staff to ensure that code reviews take place during the course of development. Consultant will perform tasks associated with the Knowledge Transfer Project plan which includes cross-training and overviews for enhancements or development projects which are completed without the involvement of State staff. Written documentation may be required.
