Role Description:
We are looking for an experienced
HIL Validation Engineer with strong expertise in
Automotive Embedded Systems, especially
Battery Management System (BMS) ECU development. The candidate should have hands-on experience in
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation, AUTOSAR, ASPICE processes, ECU testing, and software qualification activities (SWE.4/SWE.5/SWE.6).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HIL setup, configuration, validation, and testing for automotive ECUs.
- Develop and execute test cases for automotive systems, focusing on:
- Functional testing
- Performance testing
- Reliability testing
- Lead software validation activities independently across ECU development lifecycle.
- Drive:
- Test planning
- Test execution
- Defect tracking
- Test reporting
- Collaborate with System Engineering teams for:
- Requirements analysis
- Requirements traceability
- Validation activities
- Support ASPICE compliance activities and associated work products.
- Develop automation scripts and test tools for efficient validation processes.
- Debug and troubleshoot ECU, communication, and hardware-related issues.
Required Technical Skills
HIL Validation & Testing
- Hands-on experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setup and validation.
- Experience with:
- dSPACE HIL systems
- Vector HIL environments
- VT System
- Vector tool chain
- Strong understanding of HIL simulation and testing methodologies.
Automotive Communication Protocols
- Good knowledge of:
- Strong understanding of diagnostic protocols:
Vector Tools & Automation
- Hands-on experience with:
- Experience in CAPL scripting for:
- Test automation
- Script development
- Validation activities
ASPICE & Software Validation
- Strong understanding and practical experience with:
- Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
- SWE.4 – Software Unit Verification
- SWE.5 – Software Integration and Integration Testing
- SWE.6 – Software Qualification Testing
- Experience supporting ASPICE audits and documentation.
ECU & Embedded Software Development
- Experience in Automotive Embedded System development, preferably:
- Battery Management System (BMS) ECU development
- Knowledge of:
- AUTOSAR architecture
- AUTOSAR tool chains
- ECU virtualization / Virtual ECU development
- Experience with:
- 32-bit Microcontroller drivers
- Application software development
- Platform software development
- Knowledge of embedded compilers and development environments.
Requirements & Configuration Management Tools
- Experience working with:
- Ability to manage requirements, traceability, and validation artifacts.
Test Engineering Skills
- Develop comprehensive automotive test cases and test scenarios.
- Experience in testing automotive systems, including:
- Steering systems
- Braking systems
- Battery Management Systems
- Good understanding of test processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISTQB Foundation Level is preferred.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and electronic laboratory skills.
Essential Experience
- Strong experience in the Automotive domain.
- Hands-on experience in HIL validation activities.
- Experience with ECU development lifecycle.
- Practical exposure to SWE.4, SWE.5, and SWE.6 activities.
- Experience with AUTOSAR-based embedded systems.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Vector CANoe automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of XCP protocol and CANape usage.
- Experience with ECU virtualization.
- Experience in Battery Management System validation.
- ISTQB certification preferred.
