Join a Team Supporting Critical Space Operations
ASRC Federal Space & Defense is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the U.S. Space Force's Critical Satellite Communications (C-SAR) mission in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability, performance, and readiness of mission-critical software systems that support MILSATCOM operations around the globe.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (onsite)Clearance: At a minimum, Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
What You'll DoAs a member of a specialized engineering team, you will support testing and validation activities for the Command and Control System - Consolidated (CCS-C) integrated environment. Your work will help ensure the successful deployment and operation of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications, custom-developed software, and satellite-specific data products supporting U.S. Space Force missions. Applications are hosted on Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, prepare, and execute formal software acceptance testsValidate software maintenance releases and system enhancementsCollaborate closely with software developers during unit, integration, and system testing activitiesAnalyze test results, identify defects, and support resolution effortsProvide daily status reporting during formal test eventsMaintain and execute regression test suites to ensure system stabilitySupport user acceptance testing and assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysisVerify software performance across Windows, Linux, and Solaris environmentsApply software configuration management (CM) best practices to ensure consistency and integrity across multiple systems
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
At a minimum, Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.Current Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hireBachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience supporting MILSATCOM operations, satellite command and control systems, or a related developmental/operational environment preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering teams and customers
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of software or system testing experienceExperience supporting MILSATCOM and/or satellite command and control systemsFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologiesExperience working in classified or mission-critical operational environmentsKnowledge of automated testing tools and test management processesAbility to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer
