- Location: Hybrid, [2 days/week] onsite in downtown Dallas, TX [this may increase throughout the year]
- Schedule: [Standard hours / rotating daytime 8-hr shifts (6: 30am-7: 30PM) / overtime during peak season.
Our client’s software support team is looking for a technical problem-solver who wants to do more than close tickets. You’ll support users of a family of proprietary, custom-built applications, and you’ll help us get better at it. There’s a lot to learn, and the variety is part of the appeal. We want someone curious about how systems work, who teaches themselves new tools for fun, and who is excited to bring ideas to a team and make them real.
This is a contract-to-perm opportunity. During your first 12 months, you’ll learn our applications and ramp toward contributing independently. Within 2-3 years, strong performers are considered for Senior Associate, working with team leaders to train others and shape how we use the Microsoft and industry tools in our environment.
A candid note: Many talented network, hardware, and infrastructure engineers find this work very different from what they did before. It’s support for a suite of proprietary applications, mostly by email, not racks and routers. We’d rather you know that now. People who stay tell us it’s the team, the leadership, and the chance to keep learning.
What you’ll do- Investigate and resolve support requests across multiple proprietary applications, mostly by email and occasionally by phone
- Reproduce issues, ask focused questions, and explain solutions clearly to non-technical users
- Own requests from first response through resolution, and escalate with complete documentation when needed
- Build working knowledge of each application over time, starting with M365 Suite (Outlook, PPT, Word);SharePoint, Azure, OneNote, AI tools (Claude, Gen AI)
- Identify recurring issues and help implement improvements to processes, documentation, and tooling
- Learn the Microsoft and industry tools in our environment and help streamline our work
- Over time, help train new team members and support team leaders on technical initiatives
What we’re looking for- Bachelor’s degree required (a technical degree is preferred)
- 3+ years in technical support, application support, network or systems engineering, or hardware engineering (remember, this is software support, you would be leaving networking or hardware engineering completely behind)
- A self-driven learner who explores technology on their own
- Comfortable learning several unfamiliar applications and keeping track of how they differ and interact
- Excellent spoken and written English, and calm, patient, and easygoing demeanor with frustrated users
- Comfort with Microsoft tools. Active Directory, Intune, PowerShell, or Power Automate experience is a big plus.
- Alumni of software companies such as Microsoft, plus M365/Azure support, SharePoint support techs and MSP technicians (people used to juggling multiple systems) preferred
Why join us: an established team with low turnover, supportive leadership, a collaborative culture, and a real path to grow.
