Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Lead a team of software engineers delivering next generation embedded automotive software. Design and lead a development process that yields end products with high quality, high reliability, complete test coverage, and high traceability. Manage product and task priority, delivery schedules, and sprint planning. Design abstractions and APIs for a variety of core platform services, including but not limited to: diagnostics, messaging, and logging. Develop portable and extensible firmware according to best practices and MISRA-C. Identify build vs buy tradeoffs with respect to development tooling and integration. Verify and profile system behavior with unit testing and other validation methods. Document deliverables with structural and behavioral requirement documentation.
