    Description

    The Software Licensing Coordinator is responsible for managing and tracking software assets throughout their lifecycle to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness. This role maintains software inventory records, monitors licensing agreements, coordinates software procurement and renewals, and supports audits to ensure adherence to vendor and organizational policies.     Classification Title:

    End User Computing Spec III

    Classification Minimum Requirements:

    Associate’s degree and four years of appropriate experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate of required experience.

    Job Description:

    Software Fulfillment 
    Fulfills new software licensing requests submitted through the service management system. Actively manages annual licensing periods for existing applications and coordinates with departmental administration as required. Coordinates with IT asset management as required to maintain accurate licensing asset records.

    Departmental Software Liaison 
    Serves as the departmental liaison for software requests in coordination with UF Software Licensing services. Utilizes the UF Liaison Dashboard to obtain and update licensing information as required.

    Software Installation Coordination 
    Coordinate with customers and support teams regarding the installation and activation of software applications.

    Process optimization, risk mitigation, strategic initiatives
    Works closely with organizational leadership to optimize software licensing and deployment processes, identify and mitigate risks, and facilitate strategic initiatives.

    Expected Salary:

    $61,000

    Required Qualifications:

    Associate’s degree and four years of appropriate experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate of required experience.

    Preferred:

    Demonstrated experience with the licensing, deployment and support of common administrative, educational and research (statistical analysis, reference management, etc.) applications.
    Knowledge of service management, asset management and software management / deployment systems.
    Experience with supporting enterprise environments (10,000+ devices) and/or supporting academic health centers / clinical care.

    The successful candidate will have a strong customer-centric service orientation and excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational and collaboration skills.  Discretion, sound judgment, confidentiality, initiative, and interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position.
