The Creativity Apps team at Apple is seeking a Software Image Quality Manager to lead, mentor, and grow a team of Image Quality Engineers focused on photo and video editing features. This role requires a highly proactive individual with strong creative, technical, and analytical skills, and a passion for image/color science, computer vision, and on-device machine learning. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, maintaining, and overseeing the Image/Video quality, evaluation and validation of AI and ML models used in photo and video editing features, ensuring their accuracy, performance, and impact on image/video quality. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to understand feature requirements, identify potential quality risks, and help mitigate them throughout the development lifecycle. You will establish and maintain objective and subjective image quality metrics and benchmarks.
