JOB SUMMARY
The Software Engineer II independently designs, develops, and maintains cloud-based and web application components in support of business objectives. They contribute to full-stack development, lead small projects, and mentor junior engineers. This role is responsible for writing clean, scalable code, ensuring system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and refine technical solutions. A Software Engineer II is expected to follow coding best practices, participate in code reviews, and remain current with emerging technologies and development methodologies.
JOB DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
2-4 years of experience in software development
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java
Strong experience with front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Working knowledge of server-side languages such as Python, .NET, or JavaScript
Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., MSSQL, Cosmos DB)
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, if needed, to meet the job requirements
Employees must provide their own reliable internet if working a remote/hybrid position
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 40 pounds.
