Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Mobile Systems Engineer with extensive client-server experience to join our team. This role involves the design and implementation of software systems across wearable devices, iOS/Android mobile applications, and distributed backend services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in Kotlin or Swift, with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming
- Experience in multithreaded, event-driven systems
- Strong understanding of memory management, resource ownership, race conditions, and deadlock prevention
- Ability to debug race conditions, thread-safety issues, and complex concurrency issues
- Expertise in optimizing CPU, memory, latency, and system reliability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience building wearable products such as glasses, watches, MR headsets, etc.
- Proficient system programming in C or Rust
- Experience in AI/ML Engineering, including LLM prompt tuning, evaluation, tool calling, and agent workflows
