Description

Our client, a software technology company, is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join their product development team in Austin. This internship offers direct exposure to the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and code review, within a collaborative engineering environment.

The intern will work alongside senior engineers on live projects, contributing to features used by the company's customer base. This role is well suited for a student or recent graduate looking to apply classroom knowledge to real-world software problems.

This is a paid, on-site internship based in downtown Austin. Candidates should be available to work in office throughout the internship period.

Responsibilities

  • Write and test code under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing codebases
  • Assist in writing technical documentation
  • Collaborate with QA on identifying and resolving defects
  • Contribute to code reviews and provide feedback to peers
  • Support deployment and release processes
  • Research and evaluate new tools or libraries as needed

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Austin for the duration of the internship
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior coursework or project experience with web or software development preferred
