    Staff Application Software Engineer
    Location: Weston, Florida

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Quickly understanding existing architecture, codebase, and development workflows.
    • Independently designing and developing application software components per defined requirements and architecture, following design principles and coding standards.
    • Collaborating closely with the Project Management team and other engineers to ensure project success as a technical member of the team.
    • Following defined SDLC procedures to ensure software quality through code review, unit and component tests, code analysis, and defect management.
    • Authoring software engineering documentation following R&D procedures per the Quality Management System.
    • Clearly communicating progress, risks, and technical decisions.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 4+ years of relevant work experience.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and Object-Oriented programming in a production environment.
    • Experience with full SDLC and Agile methodologies, including tools for static/dynamic analysis, unit testing, CI/CD, and code review.
    • Prior contractor or consulting experience with success in ramping up quickly within new teams.
    • Experience with Qt/QML framework, Linux, and Docker.
    • Knowledge of linear algebra, computational geometry, computer graphics, or software architecture design.
    • Background in medical imaging, computer vision, robotics, or biomedical software development.
