Software Engineer

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, contract requirements, applicable labor categories, and, where applicable, contract award and funding. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Performing schema updates.
• Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries.
• Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work.
• Possessing significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization.
• Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment.
• College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
• Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.
