    Position Description:

    Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced AI Engineer III to support the modernization and transformation of enterprise Human Resources Technology Systems (HRTS). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AI/ML professional to apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, automation, and software engineering to large-scale enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on AI engineering experience along with the ability to evaluate complex application environments, identify opportunities for AI and automation, develop innovative solutions, and communicate recommendations to technical and business stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to work across AI/ML, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, enterprise application modernization, Python development, and systems integration while contributing to high-impact technology initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess the existing HRTS application landscape, identifying technology gaps, modernization opportunities, automation opportunities, and potential use cases for AI/ML.
    • Design, develop, and implement AI models, machine learning algorithms, and analytics solutions supporting HR-related business processes and enterprise applications.
    • Evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements involving software upgrades, integrations, automation, AI capabilities, and process improvements.
    • Apply Python, AI/ML, data analytics, and software engineering techniques to develop scalable and maintainable solutions.
    • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective AI and automation solutions.
    • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, analysts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver AI-enabled capabilities.
    • Support integration of AI solutions with existing enterprise technologies, applications, and data sources.
    • Develop technical documentation, including project plans, technical designs, implementation plans, timelines, status reports, and progress documentation.
    • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend solutions that can improve operational efficiency, user experience, automation, and decision-making.
    • Lead technical discussions and communicate complex AI/ML concepts, recommendations, risks, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Perform assigned functional and technical responsibilities independently while contributing to overall project strategy and delivery.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives involving AI engineering, intelligent automation, analytics, application modernization, and enterprise systems integration.

    Required Skills/Education:

    • 8-12 years of overall relevant professional experience, with demonstrated experience in AI engineering, software development, analytics, or enterprise technology.
    • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience developing or implementing software solutions leveraging AI, machine learning, analytics, or intelligent automation.
    • Proven experience working as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, AI/ML Developer, Data Scientist, or closely related role.
    • Strong hands-on programming experience with Python.
    • Experience developing, evaluating, or implementing AI models and machine learning algorithms.
    • Experience with AI/ML, data analytics, predictive analytics, automation, or intelligent systems.
    • Experience supporting enterprise application modernization, system integration, or technology transformation initiatives.
    • Knowledge of Oracle Forms/Reports, SAP ERP, WebSphere, and Tomcat/Java environments.
    • Experience using GitHub and modern software development/version-control practices.
    • Ability to independently analyze complex technical environments, identify gaps, and develop actionable recommendations.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
    • Experience creating technical documentation, project plans, schedules, status reports, and implementation recommendations.
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or another applicable technical field. If the degree is not in an applicable field, an additional four years of related professional experience may be substituted.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
