Description
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer - Military for an onsite opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA. This role will work within an interdisciplinary engineering team developing software solutions that integrate with complex real-world systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-performance software and algorithms for technical applications
- Process and analyze data from cameras and other sensor technologies
- Design and develop APIs for system integrations
- Develop responsive user interfaces
- Test software through unit, integration, and real-world validation
- Troubleshoot software within Linux environments
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders on requirements and solution design
- Create technical documentation and participate in design reviews
Requirements:
- Strong development experience with C/C++, Python, Rust, or Go
- Strong Linux experience
- Experience developing clean, scalable, and maintainable software
- Experience with APIs and systems integration
- Experience with UI frameworks such as React or Qt/QML
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Experience processing camera, RADAR, LiDAR, or IMU data
- Sensor integration or sensor fusion experience
- Experience developing software for complex hardware systems
- Government or highly regulated industry experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
