The Work

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Software Developer. In this role, you will perform tasks supporting Navy programs. The successful candidate will have experience with integrating containerized components within Kubernetes orchestration environments and a keen ability to integrate and troubleshoot complex systems built on Linux.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM field with 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices and containerized legacy applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong background integrating containerized components within Kubernetes orchestration environments.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, K3s) and related tooling.
• Hands‑on experience with Helm for packaging and managing Kubernetes applications.
• Experience with BASH and/or Python
• Expertise of Linux development, integration, and troubleshooting
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

• Experience in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of C++ or Java software development
• Experience with Virtualization using KVM
• Experience with Ansible
• Experience with Gitlab
• Desire to troubleshoot and integrate complex software systems

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate''s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
