Summary:
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities for business or mission applications.
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software containing logical and mathematical solutions to problems.
Applies appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
Utilizes knowledge of computer hardware, software, and information processing techniques for software development.
Corrects program errors and prepares operating instructions.
Compiles documentation of program development and analyzes system capabilities.
Resolves questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Ensures software standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
Supports EGSE organization as a software engineer for modernization efforts.
Collaborates with software, systems, electrical, and test engineers using Agile Development methodology.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, or TestStand.
3+ years of professional experience in software development.
Experience in automated test equipment software design.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Experience with product-lifecycle management and issue-tracking systems.
Fundamental understanding of Python scripting language.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline.
Preferred: Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and test-software development (LabVIEW, C/C++, Python).
