    Description

    A Software Engineer who works within a development team to lead the development of infotainment software with a focus on headunit software, creating a top-class infotainment platform that applied to numerous future influential models simultaneously with a focus on C.A.S.E. (Connected Autonomous Shared Electrification) and Quality.

    • Requires a BS in in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with a variety of people and job functions.
    • Has proficient computer skills in usage of collaboration related tools (Confluence, Sharepoint, etc).
    • Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other technical software).
    • Have experience and interest in Software Development, JAVA, C, C++, or Android OS
    • Pays attention to detail and sets high personal goals or standards of performance.
    • Has basic project management skills and is able to determine a project timeline.
    • Self reliant/motivated to maintain test schedule timeline
    • Has developed organizational skills to prioritize workload and accomplish tasks to define project timeline
    • Can generates creative solutions to problems and is open to trying different and novel approaches.
    • Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships. Works in teams to reach project goals in desired format.
    • Experience in latest infotainment features; Bluetooth, Carplay/Android Auto, Voice Recognition, etc is preferred
    • Familiarity with C.A.S.E. (Connected, Autonomous, and Shared Electrification) and Infotainment unit development
    • Ability to use common electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESD equipment, etc.) preferred
    • Valid Ohio driver's license required.

    Supplier Management:

    • Learn methods to direct the Honda selected software integration partner suppliers to design and manage the software to maturation.
    • Infotainment Software Testing
    • Understand necessary skills for successful hands-on testing that may include developing unique requirements to system components and vehicle testing to guarantee product performance.
    • Support maturation testing to cover different configurations of components to ensure all variations work correctly.

    Documentation:

    • Write clear and concise reports, presentations and/or technical documents to make a record of the development activities, communicating directly with Technical Experts.

    Analysis:

    • Build knowledge how to Analyze & interpret test results, predict performance/failure and provide required product/design data.
    • Requirements Capture and Specification Development
    • Write draft proposals, develop, and issue specification requirements for system components.
    • Recognize and specify critical function requirements (hardware, software & communication) for infotainment system components to match customer demands.

    Project Management:

    • Effectively communicate the development schedule and report status of component functions to different company areas/departments.
