Software Engineer (Java Backend)

Requirements: Seeking a strong backend-focused Java Engineer to develop scalable microservices and enterprise applications supporting digital asset and blockchain analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and SQL, along with experience integrating complex data sources and APIs.

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Software Engineer (Java Backend) : Charlotte, NC/Hybrid for their Charlotte, NC/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new Java-based microservices
• Build scalable APIs and integration solutions
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks
• Support blockchain and digital asset analytics initiatives
• Collaborate within a 6-member Agile team

 
Requirements:

• Seeking a strong backend-focused Java Engineer to develop scalable microservices and enterprise applications supporting digital asset and blockchain analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and SQL, along with experience integrating complex data sources and APIs.
• Required Skills
• Java 11/17+ with Spring Boot and Microservices
• Strong backend development experience
• Advanced SQL and database design/performance tuning
• REST APIs and integration services
• Test automation using JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, Rest Assured, or Selenium
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Agile development experience
• Preferred Skills
• Experience with virtual assets, blockchain analytics, and digital asset transaction monitoring
• Familiarity with Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, or similar blockchain platforms
• Understanding of cryptocurrency ecosystems, wallet attribution, on-chain analytics, and financial crime compliance
• Experience integrating blockchain data sources into enterprise applications for risk management and regulatory reporting
• Top 3 Skills:
• Java / Microservices / Database Development
• Virtual Assets & Blockchain Analytics Experience
• Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, or similar platform exposure
• Years of Experience:   10.00 Years of Experience
