Software Engineer IV (Senior .NET/C# Application Security Developer)
Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid- onsite 3 days per week)
6-month contract with possible extension
Pay Rate: $75.00 - $84.00per hr.

Our client is seeking experienced Software Engineer IV to support a high-priority, technology-wide initiative known as the Frontier AI Remediation Roadmap. This initiative is focused on identifying, remediating, and hardening vulnerabilities across applications, systems, APIs, databases, CI/CD pipelines, and other technology domains. Engineers will work alongside existing technology teams to address vulnerabilities identified through new automated scanning tools and help strengthen applications and systems against potential exploitation. The ideal candidate is a strong .NET/C# software engineer who can work comfortably across legacy and modern applications and is capable of jumping into an active remediation environment. Candidates with SQL, Blazor, CI/CD, DevOps, cloud, security, and AI-assisted development experience will stand out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities discovered through automated repository and application scanning tools.
  • Develop and implement secure, scalable solutions across a large .NET application environment.
  • Patch applications and address vulnerabilities across multiple technology domains.
  • Support application and system hardening initiatives.
  • Work across both legacy .NET Framework and modern .NET/Core environments.
  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and technology teams to build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support application migrations into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work with tools such as Harness and Artifactory.
  • Contribute to remediation efforts involving APIs, SQL databases, application infrastructure, and other technology areas.
  • Participate in ongoing efforts to improve the security and resilience of the technology environment.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, to accelerate development and remediation efforts.

Required Skills:

  • 7 years of strong professional experience with .NET and C#.
  • Hands-on experience with ASP.NET.
  • Experience working across both legacy .NET Framework and modern .NET/Core applications.
  • Experience with SQL and SQL databases.
  • Experience with Blazor.
  • Experience developing or working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience troubleshooting, modifying, and patching existing applications.
  • Technical experience with leadership, mentoring, or technical guidance

Preferred Skills:

  • DevOps experience or familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Harness and Artifactory.
  • AWS cloud experience.
  • Azure cloud experience is also acceptable; the organization currently has an application in Azure, although the long-term cloud direction is AWS.
  • Experience with application security, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, or secure development practices.
  • Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools. Proficiency with GitHub Copilot would be a significant advantage.
  • Banking or financial services experience is a plus but not required.
