We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer 4 to join an Agile development team supporting applications within the fraud space. This is a hands-on, backend-focused .NET/C# development role, with approximately 80 90% of the engineer's time dedicated to software development. The ideal candidate will have strong technical depth and the ability to independently make technical decisions, solve complex problems, design solutions, and provide technical guidance to other engineers as needed. This is not a team lead position, but the technical expectations for an SE4 are comparable to a team lead from a knowledge and problem-solving perspective. The primary difference is that the SE4 will spend significantly more time in hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using .NET and C#.
• Develop and support APIs and microservices within a high-volume processing environment.
• Design technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Analyze and improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Work with authentication and authorization strategies for APIs and services.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and determine effective solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with other members of the development team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to offshore and more junior engineers when needed.
• Help evaluate and implement appropriate development and monitoring technologies.
• Support fraud-related applications and systems as the team's responsibilities evolve.
• Potentially support Palantir Foundry fraud applications beginning in Q1 2027.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering or relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar/relevant field.
• Strong professional experience with .NET and C#.
• Strong backend/API development experience.
• Experience designing and developing microservices architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical problems and make sound engineering decisions.
• Ability to clearly explain technical approaches, architecture decisions, and how solutions would be designed and built.
• Experience working effectively in an Agile development environment.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to other engineers when needed.
