Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer in Device Testing for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX/Sunnyvale, CA. Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, device automation frameworks (XCUI), and the ability to independently troubleshoot and triage system-level issues.

Rate Range: $56/Hour to $58/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer in Device Testing Responsibilities include:

• Execute end-to-end testing across devices, backend services, data pipelines, and web-based user interfaces.

• Validate new device features and platform enhancements to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.

• Investigate test failures, analyze logs, and perform root cause analysis across distributed systems.

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual test scenarios while supporting system-level validation efforts.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to report defects, provide detailed reproduction steps, and recommend resolutions.

• Independently troubleshoot issues involving device automation, backend integrations, databases, and data pipelines before escalation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• 8-10 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation within complex distributed systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, device automation frameworks (XCUI), and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Proven ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis across devices, backend services, and data pipelines.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $58.00 per hour
