Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Develop and modify device firmware using C/C++ to support visual perceptual quality features across computer vision, graphics, and display pipelines.
Design, implement, and maintain test infrastructure used to evaluate perceptual quality metrics, including latency, accuracy, quality, and motion-to-photon performance.
Create and maintain unit tests, integration tests, manual validation procedures, and CI automation.
Debug issues across the software stack, including firmware, drivers, hardware interfaces, graphics systems, and application-level rendering.
Develop optimized firmware and software utilities for embedded platforms.
Integrate platform-level features and enhancements where applicable.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve firmware, drivers, and software applications.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation efforts, and software quality initiatives.
Create clear technical documentation covering designs, testing strategies, implementation details, and validation results.
Requirements
5+ years of experience developing and testing embedded firmware or systems software.
5+ years of hands-on C and C++ programming experience.
Experience delivering production-quality firmware and software applications.
Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
Experience building reusable test frameworks, harnesses, or validation infrastructure.
Proven debugging experience across complex software and hardware environments.
Experience with RTOS and multi-threaded or real-time systems.
Experience with CI/CD tools and development workflows.
Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages for automation and tooling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with computer vision, graphics, or display technologies.
Familiarity with visual and perceptual quality metrics such as SSIM, JND, flicker thresholds, and motion-to-photon latency.
Experience supporting AR/VR or mixed reality platforms.
Android platform experience including NDK, JNI, or HAL.
Knowledge of image and video quality assessment tools.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
