Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer III for a Contract job with a client in Cupertino, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in iOS development, Swift, Unity, C#, and SDK integration, along with a passion for supporting external developers and improving platform adoption.

Rate Range: $87/hour to $89/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer III Job Responsibilities Include:

• Develop deep technical expertise in a proprietary framework and support external development teams integrating the framework into their applications.

• Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation, integration guides, sample projects, and developer resources that promote successful framework adoption.

• Build tooling, validation utilities, and test plans that verify integration quality and ensure expected framework behavior.

• Provide hands-on technical assistance to partner development teams through office hours, direct support channels, troubleshooting sessions, and engineering consultations.

• Investigate and triage reported issues by distinguishing implementation errors from framework defects and documenting reproducible findings for engineering teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain Unity plug-ins and SDK wrappers that simplify framework integration for third-party developers.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide actionable feedback that improves framework functionality, usability, and developer experience.

• Support evolving API implementations while adapting technical guidance and tooling to keep pace with product enhancements and changing requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience supporting mobile application platforms.

• Strong proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C with hands-on experience developing, debugging, and deploying iOS applications.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Xcode, application deployment processes, application lifecycle management, and mobile platform architecture.

• Working proficiency in Unity and C#, including experience building, maintaining, and supporting plug-ins or reusable software components.

• Experience supporting SDK integrations, developer-facing platforms, APIs, or technical partner programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting subscription, entitlement, or in-app purchase technologies and related APIs.

• Experience building SDKs, developer tools, plug-ins, integration frameworks, or reusable software libraries consumed by external developers.

• Familiarity with game development technologies and engines, including Unity, Unreal Engine, or proprietary game development platforms.

• Experience working in Developer Relations, Partner Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Developer Support organizations.

Pay Details: $87.00 to $89.00 per hour
