Position Overview

Regions is seeking a Software Engineer III to support its wire-transfer platform within the Wire Delivery and Transaction System Support teams. This role will provide hands-on support for ACI Worldwide’s Money Transfer System (MTS) and Universal Payments Framework (UPF), including code releases, platform maintenance, vulnerability remediation, upgrades, and production support.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting ACI MTS and UPF environments along with strong AIX, Unix, or Linux skills. COBOL and Perl scripting experience are valuable secondary qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain ACI Worldwide’s MTS and UPF platforms.
• Manage and coordinate approximately four to six code releases annually across lower environments through production.
• Perform maintenance coding and platform enhancements.
• Support production issues and operational requests related to wire-transfer customers.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and maintain system compliance.
• Upgrade application components, including Java and related platform dependencies.
• Troubleshoot issues across multiple servers and Unix-based environments.
• Collaborate with operational teams, vendor partners, team leads, and internal stakeholders.
• Document technical changes, release activities, and support procedures.
• Learn and support UPF functionality when transitioning from legacy MTS environments.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ACI Worldwide MTS and/or UPF platforms.
• Strong experience with AIX, Unix, or Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
• Experience managing software releases across development, test, and production environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-server platform issues.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while participating in a knowledgeable and collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting both ACI MTS and UPF.
• COBOL programming experience.
• Perl scripting experience.
• Experience with Java upgrades or other application-component upgrades.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation and security-compliance activities.
• Background in wire transfers, payments, banking, or transaction-processing systems.
• Experience supporting legacy financial systems.

Pay Range: $65 - $70/hr. W2.
