Overview
Come build community, explore your passions, and do your best work. The Windows Servicing Delivery (WSD) organization is responsible for delivering protected, productive, and predictable servicing experiences for Windows customers around the world. As security threats evolve and engineering systems become increasingly complex, WSD is investing in modern engineering platforms that improve the speed, quality, transparency, and reliability of security servicing across the Windows ecosystem.
The Experiences Platform (EXP) team transforms critical engineering workflows from isolated tools and point solutions into trusted, reusable platform capabilities that improve developer productivity, strengthen security outcomes, and enable consistent engineering practices at scale. Our mission is to help engineering teams make better decisions faster through trusted workflows, actionable insights, durable platform services, and responsible use of AI-powered experiences.
As a Software Engineer II, you will primarily focus on building next-generation AI and agentic solutions that transform how security servicing and engineering workflows are executed across Windows. You will design, implement, test, and operate intelligent agents, workflow orchestration services, knowledge retrieval capabilities, and AI-powered developer experiences that help engineering teams automate tasks, accelerate investigation and remediation activities, and make trusted decisions at scale. Working closely with experienced engineers and partners across engineering, validation, security, product management, and architects, you will develop production-grade AI systems, agent platforms, and supporting services that improve productivity, reliability, and security outcomes. You will contribute to the design and implementation of agent-driven experiences, participate in technical reviews, evaluate solution quality through data and telemetry, and continuously improve the effectiveness of the systems you own. This role offers hands-on experience building and scaling applied AI capabilities that directly influence the future of engineering productivity and security servicing within Windows.
Microsofts mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
