    Description

    Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II (Tester) to join our growing team!

    You will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the AdmitIT product. In this role you will design and execute test plans, identify defects, collaborate closely with development teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes. The work spans manual and automated testing, balancing thoroughness with delivery timelines while raising the overall quality bar.

    Qualifications:
    • Five (5) years of software engineering or test engineering experience
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
      • An additional four (4) years of software engineering or test engineering experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of nine (9) years
    Required:
    • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Bruno, Cypress, or similar
    • Exposure to API testing and related tools
    • Comfortable working in a Linux environment, or a foundational understanding of Linux
    • Quick learner with a proactive, adaptable mindset
    • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional testing, API testing, accessibility (Section 508) testing, and role-based testing
    • Strong documentation skills covering manual test cases, test procedures, requirements verification traceability matrices (RVTM), and test plans
    • Proficiency in GitLab workflow processes
    • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration
    Desired Skills:
    • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, with minimal supervision
    • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with requirements and specifications
    • Execute both manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, UAT, API, accessibility (Section 508), and role-based testing
    • Identify, document, track, and verify defects, providing clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, and severity assessments
    • Analyze test outcomes, report findings, and deliver actionable feedback to developers and stakeholders
    • Collaborate effectively with team members throughout the software development lifecycle
    • Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks, increasing coverage for critical workflows
    • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning and review sessions
    • Help define and refine QA processes, standards, and best practices to drive continuous improvement
    • Prioritize testing activities to balance quality assurance with project timelines and deliverables
    • Maintain thorough documentation of test artifacts, results, and quality metrics
