    JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
    INDUSTRY: Financial Services
    LOCATION: Indianapolis, IN
     
    SUMMARY
    Theoris is assisting our client who is seeking two Software Engineers to join a dedicated team focused on reducing a critical Real Estate compliance backlog. These engineers will work closely with a Senior Engineer and Product Owner to investigate production issues, implement enhancements, resolve compliance-related defects, and improve operational stability.
    This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working within complex enterprise systems where business impact is visible and measurable.
     
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
     

    • Investigate and resolve application defects and compliance-related issues
    • Develop and test enhancements within a .NET application environment
    • Analyze SQL Server data and troubleshoot application behavior
    • Support root-cause analysis efforts for production issues
    • Collaborate with Product, Compliance, QA, and Engineering teams
    • Participate in backlog grooming, estimation, and sprint planning activities
    • Document technical findings and implementation details
    • Assist with testing and deployment validation
    • Maintain high standards of code quality and maintainability
     
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • 3-7 years of software development experience
    • Experience with .NET and C#
    • SQL Server experience including querying, data analysis, and troubleshooting
    • Experience supporting production applications
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Experience working with enterprise business systems
    • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
     
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
     
    • Insurance, mortgage, lending, or financial services experience
    • Experience with integrations, batch processing, or data matching workflows
    • Azure DevOps or Jira experience
    • Experience in compliance or regulated business environments
    • Automated testing experience
    • Exposure to legacy modernization initiatives
