Software – Data Engineer

Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526
Duration: 2 years | 1st Shift: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Role:
Early-career Software/Data Engineer supporting vehicle data engineering through Python development, automation, workflow orchestration, CI/CD, and data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Python-based tools, automation, and internal applications.
• Build/manage GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, branching, and PRs.
• Develop and schedule Databricks jobs/workflows and orchestration.
• Support data pipelines, ETL, SQL, and data engineering activities.
• Build or consume REST APIs for system integration and automation.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, debugging, and software quality practices.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years software development experience (internship/co-op can count).
• Strong Python programming.
• Git/GitHub and GitHub Actions/CI/CD experience.
• Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent data platform experience.
• SQL and basic ETL/data engineering knowledge.
• Workflow/job orchestration and scheduling experience.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work independently.

Preferred:

• REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask, Requests).
• Docker/containers.
• Databricks Asset Bundles/IaC.
• Delta Lake/Parquet.
• Vehicle data, CAN bus, telematics, or off-road systems.
