Software Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in physical product design, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory systems, is seeking a dedicated Application Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Application Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting various internal teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Application Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $90-$100/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Design, create, and maintain backend processes, integrations, applications, and scripts primarily using Python
• Deploy cloud resources with Terraform to support scalable and secure infrastructure
• Develop and enhance frontend components using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript
• Define system requirements for both new and existing applications to ensure optimal performance
• Lead major application installations and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency

What's Needed?

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with web frameworks such as Flask and Django
• API development experience in Python (GraphQL, REST)
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, Postgres, and DynamoDB
• Understanding of ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy
• Cloud development and deployment experience with AWS
