The Perception team at client is fundamental to our autonomous vehicle technology, creating the understanding of the world for our self-driving robots. We enable safe and efficient navigation in complex environments through sophisticated detection, classification, mapping, and tracking systems.
You will be a contributor to client offline mapping initiative. High-definition semantic maps are critical for enabling fully autonomous driving at scale. You will design, train, validate, and integrate models that detect semantic map elements in the world. The priority will be to enable scalable mapping pipelines through automated mapping of new features.

You will be a contributor to client offline mapping initiative. High-definition semantic maps are critical for enabling fully autonomous driving at scale. Responsibilities:
- Research, implement, and train ML models to perform semantic map element detection
- Curate, validate, and label datasets for model training and validation
- Integrate models into the greater offboard mapping pipeline and lead automation of new mapping features
- Leverage ML infrastructure to speed up development and deployment of ML models
- Closely collaborate with validation teams to formulate and execute model validation pipelines
- 5+ years C++ experience
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, ideally UDP
- Experience working with highly resilient distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with any of the following:
- Any robotics experience or 3D computer vision experience is a bonus
- Any mapping experience is a bonus.
