Job Description:
Software Engineer - Database Developer
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico (On-site)
Role Overview
We are seeking senior software engineers to support a large-scale space ground system transitioning from a prototype into full operations. This role requires architectural thinkers and experienced leaders who can help shape and mature the system, not just execute tasks. The ideal candidate will possess general ground-to-space or space-to-ground experience, strong system-level knowledge, and prior experience in mission-critical environments. This position focuses on architecting, designing, developing, and testing a data system to handle massive data throughput.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Experience: 3+ years experience with large Database Management Systems (DBMS) requiring proficiency in SQL and database design. Experience transitioning systems from prototype to operations is important. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and early-phase architecture.
Technical Skills: Foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns. Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data backup/recovery techniques.
