Our client, a global investment management firm, is seeking AI-forward Software Engineers to join their office in Austin, TX, with additional openings available in El Segundo, CA and New York, NY.
Responsibilities:-
Design, build, test, and deploy components of a proprietary Order Management System (OMS) and front office trading applications.

Use AI coding agents and AI-assisted tools every day to write, test, and ship code faster.

Execute on well-defined pieces of a major platform build-out, working under experienced technical leads.

Translate trading workflows into reliable, production-ready code in short Agile cycles.

Partner with technical leads, traders, and portfolio managers to understand requirements and deliver against them.

Participate in design discussions and peer code reviews.

Troubleshoot issues, support production systems, and improve reliability and performance.

Learn the trade lifecycle and the firms OMS architecture from internal experts, and apply that knowledge to new features.
Qualifications:-
6+ years of hands-on software engineering, with a track record of shipping production applications.

Strong Java and Python.

Software engineering experience within financial services, such as at a hedge fund, investment bank, asset manager, or trading firm.

Hands-on, daily use of AI development tools and agents in your coding workflow. Experience with any tools is welcome.

Solid foundation in data structures, system design, and relational and/or non-relational databases.

Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Docker.

Experience delivering in Agile teams under tight timelines.

A bias for action, with the ability to move fast, learn quickly, and own your work from first commit to production.

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Pluses:-
Experience at a top-tier firm, such as a leading multi-strategy hedge fund or investment bank.

Front office trading, order management, execution, or trade lifecycle experience. This is not required.

Rust, Go, or C++ experience.

Event-driven or microservice architectures, Kafka, Kubernetes.

Building your own AI workflows or automations to improve how you and your team ship software.
Pay Rate: $80 - $100/hr
