Software Engineer - Capture, Vision Products Software

The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a software engineer to work on exciting new capture and photography experiences. This team is working with some of Apples most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV). As a member of our organization you will drive exploration of future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people. As part of visionOS Capture and Photos team, you will define the overall experience of our platforms; ultimately impacting the way our customers use our products.

You will work closely with Apples framework teams and Human Interface designers - pushing you to think outside-the-box, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in the AR/VR space.

You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that will allow you to create an application that is deeply integrated into our operating systems.As a member of our team, you will help us explore and define future capture experiences that will delight, inspire, and empower millions of people. We work in Swift - reaching deep into AR/VR, machine learning, and computer vision frameworks - to build capture experiences that are only possible on Apple platforms. Successful engineers will be comfortable moving fluidly between proof-of-concept prototyping and shipping production-quality code while collaborating closely with framework teams and Human Interface designers to solve hard, novel problems.3+ years experience in software development Proficiency in an application programming language, such as C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, etc. Experience using Apple development tools and APIs BS in Computer Science or equivalent experienceExperience with building capture oriented applications Familiarity with computer vision techniques and algorithms Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for AR/VR technologies and photography Proof of concept development expertise Experience building complex applications that are functional, beautiful and delightful Proficiency in iOS development practices
