Software Engineer (Level 2)
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL 32920
Duration / Dates: 11/9/2026 10/29/2027 (Approx. 1 Year)
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week (5/40 - 1st Shift; Exempt / No OT)
Pay Rate Range: $55.00 $70.00 Hourly
Security Clearance: Full Secret Clearance required to start (with ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer (Level 2) for a contingent non-employee opportunity supporting Space Systems in Cape Canaveral, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack or front-end web development, robust database experience with Oracle, and familiarity with agile tools.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Level 2 (Bachelors Degree with 35 years of experience, or Masters Degree with 03 years of experience).
Web Development: Full stack or front-end web development experience (HTML, CSS, JS, PL/SQL).
Oracle Development: Experience with Oracle software development including developing packages, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and indexes, as well as front-end development using Oracle Forms or APEX.
Programming: Proficiency in Python programming.
Collaboration Tools: Experience with Agile Development and collaboration tools such as JIRA.
Clearance: Full Secret Clearance to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
ECI Access: Role requires access to ECI information.
Desired Skills
Recognized CompTIA Security+ certification.
Experience working with parquet and Time Series data design/storage.
Experience with Digital Engineering (MBSE, Digital Twins, etc.).
Experience working in Windows and/or Linux environments.
Experience with version control software.
Excellent project documentation and communication skills.
Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
