Software Development Engineer, EC2 Nitro, EC2 Local Instance Store

The AWS EC2 Nitro local storage team is building the foundation of cloud local instance store platforms at scale. We provide virtualized hardware-accelerated solutions for EC2 disk instances. Our solutions are designed for workloads that require high read and write access to very large data sets on local storage, such as relational and NoSQL databases, analytics, search engines, and data warehousing.

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join the EC2 Local storage core software team. You will be developing features in the Instance Storage data plane that solve customers" real world problems. As a member of this team, you will work alongside genuinely curiosity extremely bright engineers, product managers and leaders who obsess about performance, availability, scalability and durability of customer data.

Key job responsibilities

You will be developing features in the Instance Storage data plane and solving technical problems at a large scale. You will own the design, implementation, and operation of a massive scale storage system. The unique accountability of owning EC2 storage optimized instances will provide the opportunity to work with and learn about the large EC2 eco-system. You will have the opportunity to work closely with an agile team that ships often, and see the impact your code has on a wide range of customers from startups to enterprise companies.
