As a fully managed AWS service, we handle GPU infrastructure, session placement, auto-scaling, and real-time streaming to players located worldwide so customers can just focus on building great experiences.

    Amazon GameLift Streams is looking for an experienced full-stack software engineer to join our team. In this role you will own end-to-end feature development, maintenance, and operational excellence for the service. You will design and build features that span every layer of the stack, from customer-facing web experiences to backend services and cloud infrastructure. You will work with a wide range of languages and technologies such as TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, Python, and CDK. You will collaborate with cross-functional team members including Product Managers, UX Designers, and Senior Engineers to build systems that surprise and delight our customers. The ideal candidate is a full-stack generalist with a strong ownership mindset who thrives in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Design, implement, and operate features across the full stack, from web frontend to backend services and cloud infrastructure.
    • Own features end-to-end from design through deployment, moving quickly to get capabilities into customers" hands.
    • Participate in oncall rotations and drive operational improvements that drive efficencies and increase reliability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, product, security, and partner service teams to define and deliver customer experiences.
    • Participate in technical design and code reviews, providing meaningful feedback to peers.
    • Mentor teammates and help onboard new engineers to team systems and processes.
