Job Title: Software Development Engineer 1
Location: Redmond , WA
Salary Range: $48/hr to $52/hr on W2
Introduction
We are looking for a hands-on DevOps & Automation Engineer to design, build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure and automation that support software development and delivery. The ideal candidate has strong experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, scripting, deployment automation, and engineering tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.S degree
- 2 years of hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or build/release engineering
- Strong Python programming and scripting skills
- Experience with Azure or another m
- Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies
- Experience with Git and modern source-control workflows
- Understanding of software build, test, deployment, and release processes
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, build, deployment, and environment issues
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments
- Ability to independently investigate technical problems and drive them to resolution
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or Ansible
- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting systems
- Familiarity with networking, identity and access management, certificates, secrets management, and cloud security
- Experience supporting development, test, staging, and production environments
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Automate software build, test, validation, packaging, deployment, and release processes
- Develop Python scripts and automation tools for engineering and operational workflows
- Provision, configure, and maintain Azure cloud resources and development environments
- Support source control, branching, build systems, artifact management, and release workflows
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation
- Manage dependencies, environment configurations, credentials, secrets, and deployment settings
- Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational health checks
- Troubleshoot CI/CD, build, deployment, infrastructure, networking, configuration, and environment issues
- Improve system reliability, deployment consistency, and engineering productivity through automation
- Support containerized applications and deployment environments where applicable
- Identify repetitive engineering processes and develop tools to reduce manual work
- Collaborate with software engineers and other technical teams to improve development and deployment workflows
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Evaluate and adopt appropriate tools and technologies to improve engineering workflows
