We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Software Developer to help design and build modern, intuitive web applications supporting mission-critical systems. This is a unique opportunity to combine user experience design, frontend engineering, and information architecture to transform complex tools into seamless, user-friendly solutions.

This role is HYBRID and can report to Annapolis Junction, Md., Reston, Va., or Washington, DC.
What You'll Do
Design User-Centered Experiences
- Evaluate existing applications and identify usability improvements
- Translate complex requirements into wireframes, workflows, and intuitive designs
- Conduct user research and usability testing to drive design decisions
Build Modern Web Interfaces
- Develop responsive web applications using React, Angular, or Vue
- Create clean, maintainable code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Integrate applications with APIs and backend services
Shape Information Architecture
- Organize complex data into clear navigation and structures
- Design layouts that make information easy to find and use
Own the Design System
- Build and maintain reusable UI components in Figma
- Ensure consistency across all products and interfaces
Ensure Accessibility
- Design and build interfaces compliant with Section 508 standards
️ Collaborate in Agile Teams
- Work within Agile/Scrum environments
- Contribute to user stories, documentation, and sprint delivery

In this role, you'll directly impact how users interact with complex systems:

Your work ensures users can complete tasks faster, with fewer errors, and less training-a critical need in high-stakes environments.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
13+ years of experience (or equivalent education/experience combination)
Strong experience with:
UI/UX design and usability principles
Frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Figma (components, prototyping)
Experience integrating with REST APIs
Nice to Have
- Experience with Adobe XD
- Familiarity with Node.js, Java, or AWS
- Experience with real-time data (WebSockets)
- Strong background in user research or usability testing

Compensation:
$170,000- $195,000 depending on years of experience
