Description

Pay Rate Range: $70 - $73.94/hr. o W2

Position Overview:

This team develops elements of an Intelligence Community (IC) geolocation product line that addresses direct operational requirements from the warfighter.
You'll work in a classified environment across UI, front-end, back-end, and full-stack development, integrating capabilities into containerized platforms using agile scrum and DevOps methodologies.
The role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle for mission-critical geolocation capabilities in support of DoD and IC customers.
You'll collaborate with software and systems engineers across teams to design, build, test, and sustain capabilities that matter.
This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph prior to start.

Key Responsibilities:

Java Software Development
Perform software development using Enterprise Java to create and implement enhancements to existing operational capabilities
Develop service-oriented architectures (SOA) and microservice solutions within a classified development environment
Test and debug software code for integrated applications
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for deployed capabilities and address bug fixes
Containerization and Platform Integration
Utilize containerization methodologies using Docker and Kubernetes for application development, packaging, and delivery
Work across teams to integrate software capabilities into containerized platforms
Agile Development and Collaboration
Collaborate with software and systems engineers in an agile scrum environment
Analyze requirements and derive user stories and issues for development planning
Perform integration and testing as required throughout the development lifecycle
Track and maintain requirements using the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence)
DevOps and Python Scripting
Apply DevOps methodologies throughout the product lifecycle
Perform Python scripting and development to support automation and tooling needs
Develop and execute in a Linux environment

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or 4+ years of additional relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree)
Experience: 5+ years of software development experience in DoD or IC environments

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph - must be active prior to start
Experience with Enterprise Java application development
Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Experience developing service-oriented architectures (SOA)
Experience developing microservice solutions
Database experience with MongoDB, MySQL, or equivalent
Experience with Python development
Comfortable developing in the Linux environment
Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence) to track and maintain requirements

Desired Skills

Experience with UI or front-end development
Exposure to IC geolocation or ISR product development
Experience with agile scrum as both contributor and story author
Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools and practices
Experience working in a DevSecOps environment
