--- Project Description ---
IEDR7 is a technical project to combine existing functions in
Imaging and Enterprise Document Repository (IEDR), and Onsite
Scanning (OSS) systems. IEDR7 will provide local social service
districts (LSSDs) and state human service agency staff throughout
New York State with various methods for on-site scanning and
indexing of case and client documents and web based access to
stored images. The combined system will provide image capture
and retrieval for Medical Assistance (MA), Home Energy
Assistance Program (HEAP), Temporary Assistance (TA), and
Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) programs
supported by LSSDs and administered by OTDA.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Perform Java web application development
2. Participate in team meetings, discuss development
specifications, and contribute ideas and thoughts
3. Interpret program specifications and use cases and develop
solutions using a Java IDE
4. Prepare technical documentation, solution prototypes, conduct
demonstrations of work in progress
5. Provide mentoring to State staff and other contract resources in
all tools as required
6. Provide troubleshooting and end-user support and problem
resolution.
--- Required Qualifications ---
" 84 months experience with writing Java application software for data
access, data structures, data manipulation and databases.
" 48 months development experience in the FileNet Suite of products.
" 60 months assisting and/or leading in the design of program
specifications to implement software solutions.
" 60 months experience with application standard design patterns
(J2EE) to solve complex business problems.
" 84 months experience providing WebSphere and JBOSS Enterprise
Application Server services, Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration
and mainframe integration development experience.
" 84 months experience analyzing business processes and workflows
and working with non-technical staff to develop system specifications
and resolve problems.
" 48 months experience with use of XML and web services in a J2EE
environment.
" 60 months performing testing and implementation, and preparing
technical and user documentation, software conversions.
" 24 months experience working with/developing Java solutions with a
Web security protocol using LDAP and Okta.
" 48 months experience in configuration management utilities for Java
applications.
