Software Business Analyst

Introduction

The role involves leading the analysis, documentation, and communication of requirements to support IT, business, and product strategy, development, and delivery using automation, workflow, and AI tools. The position requires a deep understanding of business processes, technology, and industry best practices to drive functional and technical analysis, resource planning, and business communications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical documentation.
• 5+ years of business analysis experience within large-scope technical projects.
• Experience working with Agile development teams.
• Experience with Cloud/Web application and/or SaaS development projects.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Big Data and API integration experience.
• Automotive or OEM experience.
• Proficiency in LLM tools (Copilot, Gemini, Claude, etc.), JIRA, and MS Project.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and translate business requirements into technical requirements and create traceability metrics.
• Define system and software requirements, flows, and interfaces based on customer needs.
• Facilitate meetings for design, requirements gathering, resourcing, engaging vendors as needed.
• Estimate effort, skillset, and timeline required for project requirements analysis.
• Collaborate with the Business team to proactively identify and remove roadblocks for development.
• Ensure team is following daily Agile cadences.
