Duties of the Position: Assist the Head Softball Coach with all aspects of SHS''s softball program as assigned. The assistant coach should be a developer, teacher, achiever, and problem solver who demonstrates a high degree of integrity, trust, responsibility, positivity, and flexibility.

Special Skills Required: The preferred candidate will have knowledge in the sport of softball, in the art of coaching high school age students, and varsity coaching experience.. Additional skills would include the ability to work collaboratively with parents, coaches, booster club, youth programs and administrative staff to provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes. Demonstrates a high degree of empathy, positivity, trust, responsibility, discipline and flexibility. Is a developer, teacher, achiever and problem solver. Understanding of the dynamics, expectations and realistic demands of a high school experience

Degree/Special Training Required: Certified and will maintain certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and AED operation. Coaches who are not licensed to teach must complete a coaching fundamentals course.

Work Schedule of the Position: Must be available for daily practices and competitions for the spring sports season.
